 This Bureau engages in several activities, such as, the scanning of its base maps, the checking of several vector features for inclusion into the MLME Global Mapping Project, preparation of mineral exploration block maps, production of thematic maps on request by agencies and organizations (mainly NGOs).

This Bureau was engaged in several activities, such as, the scanning of its base maps, the checking of several vector features for inclusion into the Global mapping Project, the remapping of Camp Sheifflin land, the renovation of the building housing the bureau etc. The Bureau also carried out some routine activities, such as the preparation of mineral exploration block maps, production of thematic maps on request by agencies and organizations (mainly NGOs), the survey for the relocation of marketers to new market sites, etc. The Director of the Bureau attended workshops and one international conference of plenipotentiaries in Tripoli, Libya along with the Assistant Minister of the Department.

The Director was part of the restructuring process of the Department of Lands, Surveys and Cartography. The Bureau benefited from a scholarship program from the Republic of China. Cartographer Louise Kerkulah is in China to undergo a Remote Sensing Seminar as a result of the offer from China. The Bureauís Director also carried out other administrative activities, such as, the preparation of payroll and the Bureauís PLAN OF ACTION for 2006, the monitoring of personnel attendance and the attendance of meetings each Friday at the office of the minister.

Finally, the Bureau is engaged in the identification of the Presidentís land which she acquired some years ago in the Pipeline area of Paynesville.
